Mass. cop helps homeless woman get food, shelter before storm

SEEKONK, Mass. -- As a winter storm bears down on New England, one woman has a warm place to stay thanks to the help of a Seekonk police officer.

The Seekonk Police Department shared a post on their Facebook page Sunday night about the generous actions of an Officer Perry, reports CBS Boston. The post said Perry came to the aid of a woman in distress, and found that she was homeless and hungry.

According to the department, Perry then bought the woman groceries and assisted her in getting a hotel room.

The post had thousands of likes and shares Monday morning.
