Masked bandits drive car into store in smash-and-grab heist

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Three suspects wearing masks and gloves and driving a U-Haul-type box truck smashed into the glass front doors of a Patagonia store in San Francisco early Monday morning as part of a smash-and-grab heist, police say, reports CBS San Francisco.

The suspects allegedly grabbed racks of clothing before driving off. They were still at large as of Monday afternoon.

San Francisco Police Department Sgt. Fitz Wong told the station that store managers were busy trying to figure out how many high-end vests, jackets, scarves and shirts were taken during the heist.
