Man's arm broken during arrest at Baltimore nightclub

BALTIMORE - After a man's arm was broken during an arrest at a Baltimore nightclub, police have launched an investigation.

A police report says 24-year-old Aaron Winston approached officers who had been called to the Mosaic Nightclub in downtown Baltimore just after 1 a.m. Sunday to respond to a fight. Police say Winston repeatedly interfered with their attempts to escort another man out of the club when Winston and an officer got into a struggle and fell to the ground. Police say Winston was then cuffed and taken to the station, where he said his arm hurt.

At a news conference Thursday, Commissioner Kevin Davis said Winston was immediately taken to a hospital for a broken arm.

Winston faces assault and other charges.

The Special Investigations Response Team is investigating the incident.
