Mandy Moore confirms Ryan Adams split

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams are calling it quits.

The musical pair, who have been married for nearly six years, are divorcing.

Adams, who recently received a Grammy nod, filed for divorce from Moore, according to People.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage," Moore's rep said in a statement. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

The couple wed in March 2009 in Savannah, Georgia -- four weeks after revealing they were engaged.

Mandy Moore says new album coming soon

During a visit to CBS News in July 2014 Moore, 30, talked about her 5-year wedding anniversary, saying, "Five is definitely a milestone but I don't know if there is any secret. Like any relationship it's challenging. It takes work and it takes an open line of communication. It takes compromise and prioritizing the time you spend with each other."

This past fall, Adams released his self-titled album, which features the Grammy-nominated song "Gimme Something Good."

Moore, who provides backing vocals on the set, told us last summer, "It's so fun to be able to share that with your partner."
