Cops: Man, woman killed in Pa. murder-suicide

FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Authorities in central Pennsylvania say a man and woman were killed in an early morning murder-suicide over the weekend.

York County Coroner Pam Gay says 30-year-old Monice Ansari of Round Mountain, Texas shot 32-year-old Cari Stailey of Etters, Pa. to death and then killed himself.

Police called to Fairview Township at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday reported seeing the man take the woman behind a storage shed and then heard gunshots.

Gay said Ansari thought the two were in a relationship and had reportedly told his mother that he had asked her to marry him, but her family said she was in a relationship with another man.

Jodi Leininger, a woman who lives in the neighborhood where the shooting took place, told CBS affiliate WHP she heard a man say, "'If I can't have you, nobody can.'"

Gay said the reason for the murder-suicide is still being investigated.
