Man charged with killing stepsister, body found in Dallas dumpster

DALLAS -- Dallas police say a man has been charged in the stabbing death of his stepsister whose body was wrapped in a shower curtain and left in a dumpster.

Dallas County jail records show 41-year-old Anthony Davis was being held Wednesday on a murder charge. Online records don't list an attorney to speak for Davis, whose bond was $500,000.

Officers on Tuesday night responded to a call reporting that witnesses saw a man put a woman's body into a trash bin. Davis was still at the scene when officers located the body of 36-year-old Lashunda Richardson.

Police say Davis was wearing boxer shorts and had blood on his legs.

An arrest affidavit says Richardson moved into the suspect's apartment in August. Investigators believe she was slain at the residence.
