Alleged thief caught on camera cooking burger inside closed D.C. restaurant

WASHINGTON D.C.-- Could this be a case of the Hamburglar?

Police in Washington D.C. are searching for a man who was caught on camera cooking himself a hamburger inside a restaurant while it was closed, CBS affiliate WUSA reported.

Police say the incident took place at a 5 Guys restaurant on March 18 between 3:10 a.m. and 5:05 a.m.

A suspect followed a delivery man into the D.C. restaurant and waited until the delivery man left.

The suspect then rummaged through the establishment, cooked food, and stole bottled water before leaving the restaurant, police said.

D.C. Crime Solvers are currently offering a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a serious crime committed in the District of Columbia.
