Man arrested for allegedly impersonating military police on Veterans Day

GALLOWAY, N.J. -- A 25-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly identified himself as a member of the U.S. Army Military Police (Airborne) this past Veterans Day, police say.

Officials say Michael Porter was dressed in military uniform in the area of a military base on November 11, CBS Philadelphia reports.

Police say he was found in possession of a portable radio capable of receiving transmissions from several police departments and emergency dispatch centers.

He also had handcuffs and a handcuff key, authorities say.

Porter's bail was set at $5,000 full cash. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Jail in lieu of bail.
