LAPD: Men rob gas station immediately after release from jail

LOS ANGELES -- Police believe a group of men robbed a gas station right after they were released from jail, reports CBS Los Angeles.

According to the station, police released a security video showing two of the men wearing white bracelets, which they said indicated that the men probably just walked out of the Men's Central Jail in Downtown L.A.

Investigators said the Chevron gas station they robbed was just a few blocks away from the jail.

Police said that among the items they stole were the keys to the gasoline pumps.

"In the morning when we changed shifts, we needed the keys to open up some doors and they couldn't find them," said Gas station co-owner Luis Hernandez.

The LAPD asks anyone who recognizes the suspects to contact the department.
