Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman slated for "Ted 2"

Liam Neeson is bringing his "particular set of skills" to the comedy world, joining the cast of "Ted 2."

Morgan Freeman will also star in the film, playing an iconic civil rights lawyer whom Ted goes to for legal advice.

Writer/director Seth MacFarlane tweeted the news Wednesday.

Which character Neeson will play in the movie still remains unknown, but he could be appearing as himself, just as Sam Jones, aka Flash Gordon, did in the first film.

Mila Kunis, who starred in the original movie, will not have a major role. Amanda Seyfried, recently appearing in MacFarlane's "A Million Ways To Die In The West", will be the sequel's female lead. "Ted" star Mark Wahlberg will also be back.

We can't wait to see how it all plays out!

"Ted 2" hits theaters June 26, 2015.
