Leonardo DiCaprio out for revenge in first trailer for "The Revenant"

"I'm not afraid to die anymore, I've done it already," a heavily bearded Leonardo DiCaprio says at the start of the first trailer for "The Revenant."

The film, which pairs DiCaprio with Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Inarritu ("Birdman"), is inspired by the life of mythical explorer Hugh Glass. Based on Michael Punke's novel, "The Revenant" chronicles one man's adventure of survival in the early 19th century American wilderness.

The debut teaser is full of action as Glass sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.

"The Revenant," which co-stars Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter, opens on Dec. 25.
