Las Vegas teen arrested after father found murdered

LAS VEGAS - Police in Las Vegas say a 17-year-old boy stabbed his father to death Wednesday in their home, reports CBS Las Vegas.

Officers were sent to the home just before 6 p.m., after a woman called police and said she was concerned for the safety of her ex-husband and son.

Arriving officers found an open door to the residence and found the body of a man in the garage, deceased from apparent stab wounds.

When the man's 17-year old male son found, he was initially unresponsive police said, but was later determined to be uninjured.

The teen was arrested and transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center and is facing one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

The victim's identity was not released, and police had not made public the suspect's identity, because of his age.
