Ky. man charged with murdering his foster father

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Police say a suburban Louisville man was arraigned in the Friday morning murder of his former foster father, according to CBS affiliate WLKY.

Ronshai Jenefor of Jeffersontown, 21, is accused of having beaten and stabbed a man to death -- later identified as Stephen Dillard, 55, according to the coroner. Police say Dillard ran a foster home for troubled youth and Jenefor lived in the home.

Dillard also taught at Carrithers Middle School, reported the station.

Police told WLKY that they had made several visits to the home in the past.

"[Jenefor] lived there under foster care and the victim had a very large heart and would let kids return as adults, stay if they needed to longer to give them a place to keep them off the streets," Major Ken Hatmaker of the Jeffersontown Police told reporters.

It only took police a couple of hours to track down the suspect.

At arraignment, the judge entered a plea of "not guilty" for Jenefor, adding that his bond -- set at $100,000 -- will be cash only, according to the station. He is due back in court on March 24.
