Kal Penn beats selfie-taking subway fan at her own game
One straphanger thought she was being sneaky when she spotted Kal Penn on the subway recently, but celebrities have cellphones, too.
On Thursday, a New York City commuter named Lydia got excited when she spotted "House" star and former White House staffer Kal Penn on the subway and couldn't help trying to get a photo of the actor.
To that end, she pretended to just take a normal selfie that happened to feature Penn in the background -- except the actor was clearly on to her.

After posting his own photo of the fan, it didn't take long for Penn to find her own tweet of the initial image and share that as well:
Here's that lady's selfie. https://t.co/iAP3tyRQDN

While Penn -- and Lydia herself -- seemed to be in good spirits about the whole endeavor, some didn't think the fan's actions were that worthy of a pass -- like Chrissy Teigen, for instance:
@kalpenn i hate the fake selfie more than anything. not because it's weird (it is) but because it makes me think theyyyy think i am stupid.
