Surfer bitten by shark at Oregon state park
PORTLAND, Ore. A surfer was attacked by a shark at Ecola State Park near Portland on Monday afternoon, CBS affiliate KOIN reports.
Oregon State Police said 29-year-old Joseph Tanner was surfing at Indian Beach when he was attacked by a shark. The shark bit Tanner on his upper thigh and lower leg, OSP said.
A witness told KOIN 6 News Tanner was able to get himself back to shore where other surfers started addressing his bite wounds.

Tanner was treated and stabilized at the scene before being flown to a Portland hospital.
Ecola State Park is just north of Cannon Beach.
