Joseph Gordon-Levitt nails performance of Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation"

We already knew Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a lip sync master after his epic lip-sync battle on "The Tonight Show" two years ago, performing "Tiny Dancer" and "Superbass," but Gordon-Levitt has upped his game.

Gordon-Levitt made an appearance on Spike TV's "Lip Sync Battle" and blew it out of the water, performing Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation." He faced off against actor Anthony Mackie, who performed "2 Legit 2 Quit."

Mackie put up a good fight, busting impressive moves in his white double-breasted suit, which he later stripped off to reveal a black unitard.

But the unitard was nothing compared to Gordon-Levitt's getup, which included a full-on replica of Janet Jackson's outfit in the original "Rhythm Nation" music video. He wore a futuristic all-black outfit with metal accents, suspenders, gloves, a baseball cap and yes -- a ponytail. No Janet Jackson impersonation would be complete without a swipe of lipstick, either.

And Jackson, known especially for her dancing skills, didn't exactly have the simplest routine in "Rhythm Nation," but did Gordon-Levitt nail it? See it to believe it.
