John Legend and Common are Oscars-bound
John Legend and Common are Oscars-bound.
They are set to perform their Academy Award-nominated song, "Glory," from Ava DuVernay's "Selma" at the ceremony.
Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced the news on Tuesday. Legend also tweeted about it:
I'm so honored to announce that @TheAcademy invited me and @common to perform at the #Oscars on Feb. 22nd!

"Glory" won the Golden Globe for best original song and is in the running against "Lost Stars" from "Begin Again," "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from "Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me," "Everything Is Awesome" from "The Lego Movie" and "Grateful" from "Beyond the Lights" in the same category at the upcoming Oscars.
The 87th Academy Awards will be held on Feb. 22 in Los Angles.
