John Dingell released from hospital
Former Rep. John Dingell, D-Michigan, announced, "I'm out of here," on Twitter, added a thank you for his care and flashed a thumbs-up sign as he left the George Washington University Hospital Tuesday. He had been hospitalized since mid-December, after he broke his hip.
The 88-year-old Dingell is the longest-serving member of Congress and retired at the end of the 113th session. His wife, Debbie Dingell, was elected to the seat he vacated.
I'm out of here. My sincere thanks to @GWHospital for their wonderful care, and to ALL for your thoughts & prayers. 👍 pic.twitter.com/tzK8FyPxDr
