Jimmy Fallon, Pierce Brosnan play "GoldenEye 007" on "The Tonight Show"

James Bond was no match for Jimmy Fallon.

Actor Pierce Brosnan lost to the funnyman while playing the classic Nintendo 64 video game "GoldenEye 007" during Tuesday's taping of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

"This is one of the best video games of all time," Fallon said of the 1997 release, which is still fondly remembered by nostalgic millennials who grew up pretending to be the British spy.

"GoldenEye 007" sold over eight million copies worldwide and became highly influential as one of the first successful first-person shooter releases for a video game console.

"It was extremely popular...I was no good at it, I played it once and shot myself in the foot," Brosnan revealed.

He then went up against Fallon in a split-screen shooting match, but quickly proved that he doesn't have the same skills as Bond in real life.

In addition to his stint as 007, Brosnan is also playing a skilled marksman in the new action flick, "The November Man," due out Aug. 27.
