Jim Carrey would love to be in the next "Batman" film

Jim Carrey's first appearance in a Batman film was in 1995, but he doesn't want it to be his last.

In an interview with MTV, the "Dumb and Dumber To" star said he would love to have a part in the hero's next film franchise.

"I'd love to work in the new graphic-novel versions of the movie," Carey said.

The Caped Crusader is set to appear in 2016's "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice", starring Ben Affleck in the batsuit. Zack Snyder is directing, and Christopher Nolan is an executive producer.

Carey played the Riddler in "Batman Forever," but as far as reprising that role, he's not so certain.

"I don't know about reprising the role," he said. "I don't think Chris Nolan would go for that, but I'd love to work with him."

Carey also added that he and Nolan were working on a script about Howard Hughes around the same time as Scorsese.

"He says it's one of the best scripts he's ever written," Carey said. "At the time, 'Aviator' was coming out, and we decided not to do it. He didn't want to come out against Scorsese, who is one of his heroes."
