Jessica Capshaw tweets about Sara Ramirez leaving "Grey's Anatomy"

Sara Ramirez shocked "Grey's Anatomy" fans when she announced last week that she would be leaving the long-running show. Now her co-star, Jessica Capshaw, is publicly commenting on her cast mate's departure.

Capshaw, who plays Dr. Arizona Robbins on the show, retweeted Ramirez's tweet about leaving and added, "Congrats on 10 incredible years! I wish @SaraRamirez the very best & I celebrate what Callie has given to all of us."

Ramirez portrayed surgeon Dr. Callie Torres on the show. She tweeted on Thursday that she's taking "welcome time off" after 10 years on the drama, and expressed her gratitude to ABC and Shonda Rhimes.

The character of Callie was groundbreaking as one of the few bisexual characters on network TV. As the most recent season of "Grey's Anatomy" ended, Callie was getting ready to move from Seattle to New York.
