"Jem and the Holograms" film debuts first trailer

Get ready to rock -- the first trailer is here for the live-action reboot of "Jem and the Holograms."

The movie stars Aubrey Peeples ("Nashville") as Jerrica Benton, a small-town girl who catapults to stardom after her sister Kimber (Stefanie Scott) posts a video of her singing online.

She forms a band as "Jem" with Kimber and their two foster sisters (Hayley Kiyoko and Aurora Perrineau) and the group gets a major record deal, but then must navigate the perils of fame as they take the world by storm.

The film's official Twitter account also unveiled the first official poster on Tuesday.

Based on the beloved '80s cartoon of the same name, "Jem" also stars Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald and Juliette Lewis. It's set to hit theaters Oct. 23.
