Docs: Man linked to cold cases had list of serial killers

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Prosecutors say a Michigan man suspected in a murder, a disappearance and the kidnapping of a girl kept a list of serial killers, according to CBS affiliate WWMT.

Jeffrey Willis kept the list along with another that contained women's names and phone numbers, according to court documents released Tuesday. Willis is awaiting trial in the 2014 death of 36-year-old Rebekah Bletsch, and is a suspect in the 2013 disappearance of Jessica Heeringa. He was arrested in April and charged with kidnapping a girl who told police she was forced into his van.

The lists of women and serial killers were taken from Willis' Muskegon home, according to court documents.

According to a detective's statement released last month, officials investigating the kidnapping case in June found a pistol, ammunition, syringes with liquid, a ball gag, chains, a mask and a bar with wrist restraints in Willis's van.

WWMT reports that police say they also found a gun that investigators believe may have been used to kill Bletsch in the vehicle.

In court last month, officials testified that a search of Willis's computer revealed videos of necrophilia, "kidnap and kill" videos, and a folder labeled "VICS" with a sub-folder labeled "RSB" and including the date of Bletsch's death, WWMT reported.

After the April abduction attempt, local media noted that the description of Willis' minivan seemed to match the description of the one sought in Heeringa's disappearance, who went missing from a gas station in nearby Norton Shores.

That investigation is ongoing.
