Jeff Probst's 5 biggest "Survivor" blindsides

Top 5 "Survivor" moments revealed

"Survivor" returns tonight with a new group of castaways and the return of the "Blood vs. Water" format, but before the 90-minute season premiere Jeff Probst is looking back at some of the most memorable moments from seasons past.

The host sat down with former "Survivor" winner Parvati Shallow recently to discuss his five all-time favorite tribal council blindsides.

Number five on the list came from last season's "Survivor: Cagayan," aka the "Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty" season, when Tony and LJ played immunity idols for one another, Kass flipped alliances and Sarah was voted out of the game -- which all happened during one jam-packed tribal council.

"That was one of the most complicated moves in terms of how many active parts were happening, and one of the biggest moves of the game," Probst said.

The next one on his list was from the first time "Survivor" did "Blood vs. Water," when Ciera made a bold move and forced competitors to draw rocks. "That was probably the most surprised I've been, and hearing later the producers that were watching -- everybody's jaw dropped," he recalled of that moment.

Watch the video above to find out Probst's other favorite blindside moments, including which "giant move" topped his list.

"Survivor: San Juan Del Sur - Blood vs. Water" kicks off with a 90-minute premiere beginning at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Click here to learn more about this season's competitors.
