Jane Lynch to host the 2016 People's Choice Awards

Jane Lynch will take the stage at the 2016 People's Choice Awards as host.

The annual event is set for Jan. 6 in Los Angeles, with the nominees in 65 categories unveiled on Nov. 3.

Jane Lynch: "I guess I do feel more of a star"

"As a people myself, I'm thrilled to take on hosting duties of the only awards show that celebrates the choice of the people!" said the 55-year-old actress.

Lynch, who will star in the upcoming CBS comedy "Angel From Hell," is a four-time People's Choice Award nominee; she won for Favorite TV Comedy Actress in 2011.

She previously starred as Sue Sylvester on "Glee" and has appeared in "The L Word," "Desperate Housewives," "Criminal Minds" and "Two and a Half Men." She also hosted the 63rd annual Emmy Awards.
