Jake Pavelka responds to "Bachelor" contestant's death

Former "Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka breaks his silence on the death by apparent suicide of Lex McAllister, one of the contestants vying for his affections on the 14th season of the hit reality show. McAllister passed away Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.

"I'm so sad to hear about Alexa. Such a beautiful girl," he tweeted. "My heart breaks for her family. Covering them in prayer during this rough time."

Pavelka isn't the only "Bachelor" veteran to express remorse over the news. McAllister's fellow contestant Tenley Molzhan also took to Twitter to praise her late friend. "Remembering Lex. She was vibrant! I didn't know her well, but she was beautiful. Prayers to her family," Molzhan tweeted.

McAllister was rushed to the hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Saturday after ingesting "a lot" of pills and died Tuesday. In 2013, fellow contestant Gia Allemand died after hanging herself.
