Jacksonville boy loses foot rushing to make curfew, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A boy rushing to make curfew at a youth center lost the lower part of his leg early Sunday morning, the Jacksonville Sheriff's office said.

The youth tried to hop on a moving train just after midnight Sunday morning, reports CBS affiliate WTEV Jacksonville.

He missed, and his leg was cut off below his ankle.

Police said he was taken to a local hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

Officials said the victim tried to board the moving train so he could make curfew at the Panama Youth Center.
