"Inside Amy Schumer" renewed for fourth season

On the eve of its season 3 premiere, Amy Schumer revealed her Comedy Central series will be back for a fourth season.

The actress-comedian broke the "Inside Amy Schumer" news Monday during her appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman."

Comedy Central confirmed the renewal Tuesday.

"I'm so happy to keep the 'Inside Amy Schumer' family together," Schumer said in a statement. "Excited and scared for everyone to see what we do next."

It's been a big year for Schumer, who hosted the MTV Movie Awards and also saw her show win a Peabody Award this month. She was also named to Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list, and will be on the big screen this summer in the Judd Apatow-directed "Trainwreck."

"Inside Amy Schumer" debuts its third season Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
