Hurricane Danny expected to lose its punch

MIAMI - Tiny Hurricane Danny is expected to lose the limited punch it's packing by this weekend.

Danny's maximum sustained winds Thursday night had decreased slightly to 80 mph and hurricane-force winds extended only about 10 miles from the center.

The hurricane is centered about 970 miles east of the Windward Islands and is moving west-northwest at 10 mph.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Danny does not currently pose any threat to land, and is expected to weaken on Saturday.
