Human bones found by S.F. resident doing gardening

SAN FRANCISCO -- A San Francisco resident doing some gardening found what police determined to be human bones, police said Wednesday, CBS San Francisco reports.

The resident from the 1300 block of McAllister Street brought the bones to the Northern Police Station, and filed a report with officers.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office determined the bones were human remains, and cadaver dogs were dispatched to search the area.

The dogs indicated the possible presence of more remains, and the area was excavated, but no further remains were located.

Police are continuing to investigate the discovery.
