Hillary Clinton will visit Ground Zero memorial on Sunday

Hillary Clinton slams Trump over comments about military, Obama

Hillary Clinton will visit ground zero in Manhattan on Sunday to mark the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to a Clinton campaign aide.

She will arrive at the memorial there before the annual moment of silence at 8:46a.m. ET and will attend the morning’s events but will not have a speaking role. The 9/11 attacks killed 2,996 people and injured thousands more.

Last month, both the Clinton and Trump campaigns agreed to cease campaigning and airing TV ads on 9/11, as was the case in 2012, when Mitt Romney nor President Obama campaigned.

In 2008, John McCain and Mr. Obama not only suspended their campaigning and ads for the day but also attended a memorial at ground zero together.
