Hillary Clinton to raise money for Chelsea's mother-in-law

WASHINGTON Hillary Rodham Clinton will appear at her first political event of 2014, raising money for a Pennsylvania congressional candidate with close ties to the Clinton family.

According to an invitation obtained by The Associated Press, the potential 2016 presidential candidate will headline a May 15 fundraiser for Marjorie Margolies in New York.

Margolies is the mother-in-law of Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of the former secretary of state and former President Bill Clinton.

The fundraiser will be at the New York City home of Lynn Forester de Rothschild. Tickets cost $1,000 to $5,000 per person.

Margolies served one term in Congress in the 1990s and is running in a Democratic primary for a House seat representing the Philadelphia suburbs.

Details of the fundraiser were first reported by Politico.
