"Harry Potter" alum Tom Felton joining "The Flash" for season 3

Going from a world of wizards to one filled with reality-hopping meta-humans shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

At least not for "Harry Potter" veteran Tom Felton, who is joining the cast of The CW's superhero hit "The Flash" for the show's third season, according to TV Line.

Felton will be a series regular, starring as Julian Dorn, a colleague of Barry Allen's in the Central City Police forensics department who suspects the man who moonlights as the Flash may be hiding something.

Before joining "The Flash," Felton starred on TNT's "Murder in the First" and DirectTV's "Full Circle," but he's best known for portraying devious Draco Malfoy for the eight Potter films, starting with 2001's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and going all the way to 2011's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2."

"The Flash" returns for its third season on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
