Happy Birthday! (You're under arrest)

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A recent birthday wasn't so happy for a Pittsburgh-area man suspected in a string of break-ins and thefts.

A birthday card helped police track down 21-year-old Tyler Williams of Hempfield Township when it was found in a van stolen in one of the incidents, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

The card, addressed to Williams, wished him a happy 21st birthday, reports the station.

Police say Williams and a teen broke into an elderly couple's home in North Huntingdon, Pa. as the couple slept Dec. 19, allegedly making off with more than $58,000 worth of items including weapons, electronics, wrapped Christmas gifts, the van, and another car.

The van - with the tell-tale card inside - was later found damaged and abandoned in a parking lot.

Williams is also suspected in other thefts in Hempfield Township, Murrysville, and possibly in Fox Chapel.

The teen suspect is facing charges in juvenile court, and an 18-year-old woman is also expected to be charged as the alleged getaway driver.

Williams is being held in the Westmoreland County Jail on $50,000 bond.
