Gwen Stefani signs on as coach of "The Voice"

Gwen Stefani is officially lending a hand to "The Voice."

The No Doubt frontwoman has signed on as a coach for season 7 of the NBC show, joining Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and fellow new coach Pharrell Williams.

Stefani confirmed the news via Instagram, writing, "It's true...@nbcthevoice."


Stefani and Williams will swing by "The Voice" on May 5 to perform.

Mom-to-be Christina Aguilera, meanwhile, is expected to return for season 8. She tweeted the Stefani news as well:


This year's coaching panel features Levine, Shelton, Shakira and Usher.
