Group of female bandits behind string of Calif. thefts?
ROSEVILLE, Calif. - A group of female bandits is suspected in a string of thefts at businesses across California, reports CBS Sacramento.
In each case, one woman goes for the cash while the others distract the victim, according to the station.
One of the victims, who didn't want to be identified, spoke to CBS Sacramento.
"They're very experienced they're not afraid of anything," she said.
The victim told the station the women made off with her wallet, credit cards and nearly $5,000 in cash during the theft, which took place in December at D'Luna Boutique in Roseville. The suspects were never caught, but the incident was caught on surveillance video.
On Monday, the victim reportedly saw a video of five women suspected of stealing a store owner's wallet and ring in Salida. She believes the women in that video are the same ones who robbed her, reports the station.
"I started shaking, I've seen the video from our store so many times I can clearly identify them," she said.
Investigators are looking to see if they are, in fact, the same women. Police have already said they believe the group also hit a Roseville nail salon.
