GRAMMY nominations: Who is Lukas Graham?

GRAMMY nominations 2017 revealed

The first thing you need to know about first-time GRAMMY nominee Lukas Graham is that it’s not a guy -- it’s a band.

The pop-soul band consists of four young men from Denmark: singer Lukas Forchhammer, bassist Magnus Larsson, keyboardist Morten Ristorp and drummer Mark Falgren.

Their first big hit in the U.S., the catchy track “7 Years,” has the stateside newcomers sitting pretty with three GRAMMY nominations -- Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Prior to the nominations, the has spent 20 and counting on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching a peak position of No. 2.

Though the band has released two top-selling albums in their native Denmark, their self-titled global debut release didn’t hit stores until April 2016. The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, No. 2 in the U.K. and New Zealand and No. 1 in Australia and Canada.
