Golden Globes mix up America Ferrera, Gina Rodriguez

Upset about your favorite movie or TV show getting snubbed by the Golden Globe Awards?

Well, whatever your opinion, here's one thing they definitely got wrong: America Ferrera and Gina Rodriguez are not the same person.

The Golden Globes account on Twitter accidentally referred to America Ferrera as Gina Rodriguez several times as it announced nominees.

The account first tweeted, "The Golden Globes stage awaits @ImAngelaBassett, @ChloeGMoretz, @HereIsGina and #DennisQuaid to announce our noms!" @HereIsGina is Rodriguez's Twitter handle.

The next tweet showed the four presenters and again referred to Ferrera as Rodriguez.

Finally, another tweet showed Ferrera at the podium and wrote that Rodriguez was "kicking off the Golden Globes nominations announcements."

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association told ET of the flub, "What occurred this morning was an unfortunate error. Our sincerest apologies to both America and Gina." The tweets have been deleted and replaced.

Rodriguez seemed grateful to the HFPA in spite of the error.

"Speechless gratitude," she tweeted. That's the right spirit, Gina.

"America's lovely," Rodriguez told ET of the former "Ugly Betty" star on Thursday afternoon. "She's so beautiful and such a fantastic actress. If there's anybody I want to get mixed up with -- it's her for sure!""To me, it's like, whatever. We always make mix-ups in life, man," the actress added.
