Glenn Close returning to Broadway for “Sunset Boulevard” revival

She’s ready for her close-up all over again.

Glenn Close will be returning to Broadway next year for a revival -- of sorts -- of the musical adaptation of “Sunset Boulevard,” for which she won a Tony Award in 1995.

The semi-staged concert production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical take on the 1950 Billy Wilder film will enjoy a 16-week run at New York’s Palace Theatre following a much-acclaimed run earlier this year at London’s English National Opera.

Close will once again star as Norma Desmond, the fictional former screen legend portrayed by Gloria Swanson in the classic film.

“Sunset Boulevard” will begin previews on Feb. 2, 2017 before officially opening Feb. 9, 2017, when it will become the fourth Lloyd Webber musical running on Broadway, joining “School of Rock,” “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Cats.”
