Ga. man allegedly stabs, kills father in front of students

HOSCHTON, Ga. -- Witnesses say they watched a son stab his father to death in front of the family's home in northern Georgia, reports CBS affiliate WGCL.

The witnesses told police 19-year-old David Trent Walker then stood over his father, David Walker, 46, in front of their home in Hoschton, about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta. The father was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

Gwinnett County police were called to the scene shortly after the 2:30 p.m. incident.

The stabbing took place just as a school bus was dropping off students Wednesday afternoon, reports WGCL.

"They were coming down to get off the bus and everything was going down and all the kids saw what happened that were on the bus," neighbor Tina Lineberry said.

The younger David Walker was still on the scene when officers arrived, police said. He was charged with murder and is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.

Gwinnett County Police Department spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said there are no other suspects in the case.

Police are still trying to determine why the son allegedly attacked his father.
