George and Amal Clooney adopt basset hound
George and Amal Clooney, possibly Hollywood's most perfect couple, adopted a basset hound from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society.
The Clooneys added the four-year-old dog, Millie, to their family: The couple already have 10-year-old rescue Cocker Spaniel Louie, who they took with them to the shelter.
The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society announced on its website, "It was a happy day at the shelter for Millie!"
Poor Millie was found without a home, begging for food scraps outside of a local restaurant in San Gabriel earlier this month, according to the site.
Apparently, George and Amal were looking for a basset hound in particular, and saw Millie on Petfinder.com, a pet adoption website. They went to the shelter to meet her, and were happy to see that Louie and Millie got along.
"The happy, new family headed home together!" it said on the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society's site.
No doubt, Millie will have a good life with the Clooneys -- perhaps she'll even get to visit Lake Como!
Can the Clooneys adopt us, too?
