Frances Bean Cobain chides Lana Del Rey over death comments

Lana Del Rey's recent remarks about death aren't sitting too well with Kurt Cobain's daughter.

Frances Bean Cobain, 21, posted comments on her Twitter page Sunday directed at Del Rey, who reportedly said that she wished she "was dead already" during an interview with the U.K. Guardian.

"@LanaDelRey the death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize," Frances Bean wrote, "I'll never know my father because he died young & it becomes a desirable [sic] feet because ppl like you think it's 'cool.'"

Frances Bean was less than two years old when her father, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, was found dead in his Seattle home in what was officially ruled a suicide. Her mother is former Hole frontwoman Courtney Love.

According to Rolling Stone, Del Rey posted a series of tweets, which have since been deleted, voicing her regret over the Guardian interview while claiming to have been misquoted.

Frances Bean has responded to backlash from some of Del Rey's fans, as she claims to be looking out for Del Rey's best interest.

"I have no animosity towards Lana," she wrote, "I was just trying to put things in perspective from personal experience."
