A stolen lobster tale... um, make that tails

DeLAND, Fla. - A central Florida woman apparently wanted her lobster stuffed...as in, down her pants!

Nichole Reed was arrested on allegations of stealing seven lobster tails from a Publix in Volusia County by hiding them them in her shorts, CBS affiliate WKMG reported.

According to DeLand police, the 30-year-old woman entered a Publix just before 2 p.m. Wednesday. The grocery store's loss prevention officer said he saw Reed conceal the items and leave the store without paying, according to WKMG.

nd stole the lobster tails, valued at $11.99 apiece.

The station reported police found her near the store with the lobster tails stuffed in the front of her pants, and that the "seafood suspect" said she planned to exchange her haul for a Chinese buffet or Dilaudid, a prescription drug.

The lobster tails were valued at $11.99 apiece, for a total "catch" of about $84.

Reed, who has six previous arrests, was taken to the Volusia County Jail, where she later posted bond of $250 and was released.
