Florida man "brutally" murdered, found in field

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- The body of a 45-year-old Ft. Lauderdale man was found lying near shrubbery in a Pompano Beach, Fla., field, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, CBS Miami reported.

Charles Roberson "had injuries on his body that would indicate he was brutally killed," according to a statement released by the sheriff.

He was found just before 7 a.m. Thursday morning. The county's medical examiner has not yet determined an exact cause of death.

The sheriff's office said it's not yet clear if Roberson was killed in the field or brought there.
