Here's your first look at HBO's new "Westworld" remake

Fans eager for a closer look at HBO's sci-fi update "Westworld" are in luck -- after quite a wait.

The premium cable network debuted its most in-depth look yet at "Westworld," the upcoming mind-bending drama about a futuristic amusement park filled with robot cowboys. And if the first glimpse is any indication, this is not a fun, family-friendly vacation.

The first teaser for the series -- starring Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton and James Marsden -- was released a year ago, but since then the production has been hit with high-profile delays. But judging by the expensive -- and creepy -- visuals on display in the trailer, it will be worth the wait.

"Westworld" premieres on HBO in October.
