Fire rages near Rockefeller Center in Manhattan

NEW YORK -- A fire broke out Friday evening at a TGI Friday's restaurant on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, sending flames into the sky near Rockefeller Center, CBS New York reports.

Firefighters responded shortly after 8:45 p.m. to the TGI Friday's between 48th and 49th streets and close to Rockefeller Center, officials told CBS 2.

The fires was in a basement and in a vent, officials said.

Multiple witnesses tweeted photos from the scene, showing flames and smoke shooting up from the building and fire crews at the scene.

There were no reports of injuries Friday night.
