Fifth-grader arrested for writing "threatening message" at school
MINNEAPOLIS -- Officials in Chisago County, Minn. say a fifth grader was arrested after an investigation showed he or she wrote a threatening message on the wall of the school's time out room, CBS Minnesota reported.
The county sheriff's office said the message was written a week ago at the Jacobson Elementary School in Rush City, about 50 miles north of the Twin Cities. The student was arrested Wednesday.
The investigation determined the fifth-grader wrote the message with the intention of harming other students, according to the station.
The pre-teen suspect was brought to a juvenile detention center, and case was turned over to the county attorney's office pending formal charges.
