Dramatic video appears to show woman protecting Papa John's from looters in Ferguson

A dramatic video appears to show a woman trying to defend a Papa John's restaurant in Ferguson, Missouri from looters during the protests that were sparked after the decision not to indict the police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown.

In the YouTube video, which was uploaded on Wednesday, a masked man can be seen trying to punch through the window of the restaurant when the unidentified woman intervenes.

The two exchange words and then another man approaches and appears to shout at the woman. Eventually the woman is shoved by the first man but she does not budge.

People can be heard imploring the woman to move but she holds her ground as the two men try in vain to break the window.

"She's going to put her life in danger over a Papa John's" one woman can be heard saying in the background.

Joe O'Donnell, the owner of the Papa John's, told the Business Journal that the woman does not work for the restaurant and he has no idea who she is.

"I was shocked when I saw it," O'Donnell told the Business Journal. "We've been trying to figure out who it was."

At least 12 buildings were burned down and several business were looted Monday night after the grand jury's decision was announced.
