Feds: Man wearing electronic monitor held girl captive

CINCINNATI -- A January trial has been scheduled for a man who authorities say was on an electronic monitor when he had a 14-year-old girl dropped off at his home by taxi and held her captive for months and raped her.

Cody Lee Jackson, 20, pleaded not guilty to charges including coercion and enticement of a minor to engage in sex. He allegedly impregnated the girl while holding her against her will, reports Cincinnati.com. His trial is scheduled for Jan. 25 in a Cincinnati federal court.

According to Cincinnati.com, Jackson was placed on electronic monitoring in September 2014 in connection with another alleged abduction. He was accused of holding two women against their will in a suburban Cincinnati hotel, and was reportedly charged with interference of custody, abduction and kidnapping in Hamilton County.

He contacted the teenager through Facebook in February while being monitored at his apartment in Norwood, a Cincinnati suburb, and arranged for a taxi to deliver her on several occasions and had sex with her, according to an FBI affidavit. By March, he would no longer let her leave his apartment "unless it was with him or at his direction," federal documents say.

He allegedly held her captive for four months, reports Cincinnati.com.

The Hamilton County sheriff's office confirmed Jackson wore a monitoring device from Jan. 22 to July 31. A sheriff's spokesman said unannounced visits were made to Jackson's home.

Jackson supposedly had another woman watch the girl and take her out of his apartment when he was checked by monitoring officials, federal authorities said.

He was taken off monitoring and fled Ohio without the girl after pleading guilty last summer in the previous abduction case. Other charges in that case were dismissed.

Jackson was arrested in October in Utah. The girl returned to her family.

Jackson also faces state charges including rape and kidnapping.

Messages left Monday at his attorneys' offices seeking comment weren't immediately returned.
