"How Can I Help You," says Towshend, was partly inspired by "the frustrating emotional difficulties" of a colleague whose great physical pain drove him into depression. Originally performed in an acoustic version on Rachel Fuller's webcast show, "In the Attic," Townshend's recording adds drum loops and breaks to the acoustics, then Gretsch and Rickenbacker 12-string guitars and John Entwistle's hybrid Thunderbird-Fender Precision bass.

"Truancy" features highlights from Townshend's solo albums, including "Rough Boys" and "Let My Love Open The Door," from the album "Empty Glass"; "English Boy" (from " Psychoderelict"); "Face Dances (Part Two)" from "All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes"; and "Face The Face" (from " White City"). It was remastered at Abbey Road Studios.
